Debt collection is basically the procedure of chasing payments of outstanding debts by people or companies. An agency that practices in debt collection is also called a debt collection agency or collection company. There are a number of debt collection agencies which exist today and they include some very popular and large-scale collection companies.
David Ndigung, owner of New Apartment Life (NY), has been in the debt collection business for about seven years now. He started out as a part-time employee of Debt Consolidation Corporation. His role was to close out the accounts of late payers. As he started to collect money on their behalf, his position and responsibilities grew and he was eventually given more responsibility over collections.
David Ndigung was making good progress. However, he met a tough opponent - an agent who did not want to let him collect. He informed the company about this but they didn't offer any help. This agent even offered to pay him to quit. Ndigung ignored his request. So the next thing that happened was he was summoned by the lender for the inspection of his offices and he was taken aback by the heavy police presence and lock guards outside.
Ndigung was taken aback by this turn of events and then he explained to the officer that he would give Noda, the local authority, the account details. The officer replied that he would look into it. Ndigung was extremely thankful that he had kept his cool and then he gathered all the things he needed to set up his debt collection agency. He also bought ink for his agency. In fact, he invested a lot of money in starting his own store brands.
In order to collect from the Inkasso stores, he needed to find out the contact details of the staff. So he called the head of debt collection at the store and explained to him that the store brand was doing very well and it was about time he invested some money into it. The head of the team told him that he would be happy to help Noda if he had an email address. So Noda bought an email address from an internet service provider and he used this address to send thank you notes to all the customers that helped him get rid of their debts. This method worked well because people were very happy that Inkasso offered them something free rather than nothing at all.
Noda and his team of agents now help the customers to reduce their debts. In the meantime, Noda has set up another department called Armandair where he buys old records. He buys these records in bulk so he is able to sell them cheaply. He buys all the records in the state of New York and sells them to his clients. After that he sends the scanned documents to the debt-claim company so they can validate the debt claim. This way Noda earns a good profit and helps the other collectors as well.
